i wouldn't have posted this word if you defined it properly yesterday. i thought i knew what it meant too, but i didn't. now we do :)
so, supercilious is not to be confused with frivolous or silly or superficial. i'm so glad you cleared up this common misconception.

We can be supercilious in our knowledge of the meaning of the word. Or we can be supersilly. I'm a fan of both.
