Effigy





















noun
a roughly made model of a particular person, made in order to be damaged or destroyed as a protest or expression of anger.
(not to be confused with the word efficacy)

In colonial America, the king was burned in effigy.
The mean boy dressed a doll like his sister, and vaulted the doll off the cliff in effigy.
The girl shredded the love letters in effigy of her past relationship.
(this is a stretch) King David was loved by all because of his ruddy face and bright eyes; he was never burned in effigy.
In the same way, no one would ever want to burn Tim in effigy.

See if you can come up with a better religious sentence. I didn't do so well.
